2008 marks the introduction of the ONE Skater Of The Year award and gives you the power to decide who earns this inaugural honor. Besides taking the title of Skater Of The Year, the winning blader will be the subject of special feature coverage in a future issue of ONE. From now until September 1st we’re asking you to submit names of skaters you think deserve this special recognition. One’s skater of the year should go to Richie Stefanacci who under such sucky circumstances still found the energy to skate! After many rounds of chemo and a grueling surgery… “limb salvage”, he still put on the boots. He went against the rules/doctors just to feel the freedom of the skate! From the time he was 5 until he took his last breath of air at 14, skating was in his blood! Know Richie Stefanacci…Know Pediatric Cancer…Know Rollerblading!…Love You Kiddo…Skate Safe…xoxoMOM
