The second event of the 2009 LA All Day series went down on Saturday, and it was another great day for blading in sunny Santa Monica. We’ll start at the end, when Sean Cowen, Ricky Rodriguez, Tony Rivituso and Jeremy Cloe were named the top four for the Elite division. The whole elite division ripped, but Cowen displayed his lengthly line prowess for the win with Rodriguez’s growing list of technical tricks propelling him to second. Check out these shots of some of the sights around the event, and stay tuned for additional event photos and video coming soon. — ONE

Celebrity guest judge Burt Reynolds dressed up like the Bandit and brought this homemade “trophy” for Best Line. We think Ricky won it.

Here we see the Bandit sitting with the other judges. They’re probably wondering what the hell that award he made is all about.

The better half of the LA All Day nerve center, Carlos Kessell, handles some organizational goodness as the comp got underway.

I’m not sure of this intermediate level blader’s actual name, but Tracy White called him Boss Hog about 500 times while MCing his run.

Super surprise guest Aaron Feinberg showed up and chilled.

Winston Wardwell was hanging out skating the sliderbar. This could be a truespin topsoul, or a farside ao soul, or either one of those full cab, but we’re not sure. Winston, you remember?

This is an awful picture of a great skater. Feinberg with a truespin soul.

Tony Rivituso has got great style, and here he laced truespin fishbrain. Was it full cab? Can’t remember ’cause the camera’s slow shutter was super distracting.

Iain McLeod was also skating around and took a second to rap with us.

Bakersfield’s finest came out in force.

Matt Mickey provided his exemplary skills as enthusiastic announcer for the elite division rounds.

The young guns lined up to hear the final results of their division. LA All Day is building for the future.

We had a couple ONE #14 issues on hand and let people check them out. Matt put his rolling on hold to peep game.

Brandon Smith came out to snap some pics and give some Valo support to Dean and Luda who rolled the comp. Here he checks on Issue #14.

Before the day came to a close Demetrios got a ball game going on, and here Feinberg makes a move for the rim.

If all goes well we’ll have some HD video clips edited together in a little reel to post early this week. Look for it!
